In recent years, the University of Minnesota has provided new product information via promotional materials to industry partners, commercial growers and consumers. Material materials developed and distributed over the years have included advertisments, publications, posters, and product brochures. Several of these materials are still available to order and can be previewed below.
COVID-19 and Posters
Please note that due to COVID-19 restrictions and limited operations at the University, we are not currently able to send posters or other pre-printed marketing material out.
However, if you contact us, we will do our best to mail your items when restrictions are lifted.

Zestar!® Apple
Strong demand for Zestar!® Apple Trees is growing. We're increasingly confident about the future success of Zestar!®. We will continue to implement efforts to help you increase tree sales.
Our marketing includes:
- Zestar!® trade ads.
- Inserts of a SnowSweet® and Zestar!® brochure in industry trade publications; Fruit Grower News and American Fruit Grower.
- Editorial coverage.
- Direct mail to over 1,600 orchards throughout the Midwest and Northeastern United States.
- Exhibits and presentations at apple industry events, including the major Great Lakes Fruit and Farm Market Expo (GL Expo).
All these efforts direct growers to this website where they can find information and licensed nurseries to buy trees.

At the University of Minnesota we are known for our expertise in cold hardy varieties. The U of M has distributed Cold Hardy Wine Grape promotional items at wine industry and public events.
